All Ward 6 residents are invited to join Living Classrooms staff and Councilmember Charles Allen for camping on Kingman Island, November 2-3, 2019.
The adventure starts with an optional canoe trip at 2pm. If you plan to canoe, be at Heritage Island by 2pm.
Camping and set up will begin at 4pm. Camping will take place South of the East Capital Street Bridge in the South Meadow. Biking or backpacking to the islands is encouraged. We will have a truck available to carry tents, sleeping bags, coolers of food or other items from the parking area to the campsite from 4pm - 5pm. Firepits will be provided with grill tops for cooking.
Kids are welcome, but they must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. Waivers for all participants will be provided and filled out on site at arrival.
