Get Involved

Get Involved:

There are several ways to get involved with the work going on at Kingman Island.  For more information regarding volunteering in the park, check out the Events Calendar page to see what is happening at Kingman Island.

Volunteering:   

Service projects are offered on a regular basis at the park. More details and dates for upcoming service projects can be found on the Events Calendar page.

Please contact Rebekah Meyer at Living Classrooms Foundation at rmeyer@livingclassrooms.org if you are interested in volunteering at Kingman Island or if you are interested in setting up a volunteer event for your school, faith group, business, or community organization.

 

Internships:  

Internships at Kingman Island are available through Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region. See the "available internships" section below to view current opportunities.

Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival

Each year Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region hosts the Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival on Kingman Island.  It is the largest all-local music festival in the District, attracting over 10,000 guests annually, and requires hundreds of volunteers to produce.
